DESCRIPTION:First Presbyterian will host a Music and Fine Arts Camp on July 31 through August 4 for rising 2nd through 9th graders. \nCampers will have a whale of a good time learning the frolicking\, fun-filled musical based on the Old Testament story of Jonah. Camp includes instruction in singing\, handbells\, choreography\, set design and props. Plus there will be plenty of time for Bible stories and games. Campers will present the musical\, “Oh\, Jonah!” on Sunday\, August 6\, during 9:30 a.m. worship. (camp flyer) \nThe cost is $25 per participant. Space is limited to 100 campers.

This sale generates the bulk of the funds we provide to support a medical clinic and school in Mirebalais\, Haiti\, as well as a significant donation to the Back Door Food Pantry\, which is facing severe funding issues at this time. The event kicks off with a Wine and Appetizer tasting when five wine distributors will showcase a dozen wines apiece in the Social Hall\, 2-5pm on Saturday\, July 29. Tasting Tickets are $40/person\, with half going to the Outreach program. \nThe tasting participants’ ratings of these wines will determine the wines that will be available for the St. Clare’s Annual Wine Auction in September where an additional\n$60 of each wine’s case price will also benefit the Outreach program. Use the button below to order your tickets or go to the church website saintclareschurch.org\, under EVENTS & NEWS to see the announcement and access ticket sales.

DESCRIPTION:We’ll join our friends from St. Clare’s Episcopal Church immediately after church for a potluck right outside the church entrances. Bring a dish to share if you’re able (not required) and we’ll socialize and enjoy some food together. There will be a special performance by the Ypsilanti Youth Choir\, directed by Crystal Harding. \nFor the potluck\, we ask that you bring different dishes to share according to your last name. Last names beginning with A-H can bring main dishes\, I-R can bring side dishes and S-Z can bring desserts. Lemonade\, water and coffee will be provided. There will also be ice cream treats (compliments of Bishop Bonnie Perry).
