Thousands of asylum-seeking children have been forcibly separated from their parents at the border, a policy rooted in Scripture, according to our nation’s Attorney General.
We would better consider the case of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, who fled for their lives to Egypt, seeking asylum from Herod. Without the kindness of strangers and the welcome of the Egyptians, we would have no Jesus. It’s time this story were better known.
