In the second week of Advent, as we continue our series on the legacy of the watchmen, we are invited to consider the story of Ezekiel the Prophet. Ezekiel was called by God to be watchmen for the house of Israel and to warn Jerusalem of coming disaster. But he was also a prophet of hope. Even in exile, amid the ruin and rubble of the once great City of Peace, he promises that God will be with the people and will one day bring them home again.
