On Easter, Christians insist that Death has been overcome because, if the Creator can get through to us that we don’t need to be afraid, then maybe we’ll be less awful to each other (and to ourselves). And maybe we’ll be bolder in our quest for justice in the here and now, if we’re not afraid of what comes next.
