We have a few more weeks of The Divine Hours for our Wednesday and Thursday Daily Prayer Podcast. I hope you’ve begun to feel what it’s like to slip into the rhythm of this way of praying, to feel a sense of a communal conversation, using with words crafted by those who have gone before us addressed to God and words of inspiration from God to us, and not just us as individuals praying, but as a larger-than-any-of-us “we.” A beginning, a middle, and end, like all of our interactions with others. Easy, relaxed, not having to “come up with something to say,” but following a path others have laid down for us, like a literal path through the woods, say. Feeling the words more than thinking the words.
To access the online version of The Divine Hours, they are available day by day on explorefaith.org: http://www.explorefaith.org/prayer/prayer/fixed/pray_the_hours.php
[Keep in mind that depending on when you visit this site, the prayer will be likely be different than the recording.]
