Many have have been harmed by something in Evangelicalism called “purity culture,” with roots going back to some toxic trends in Western Christianity and parallels in Roman Catholic teaching. In the presentation, Ken wants to demonstrate that purity culture cannot be substantiated by appeal to Scripture; it hinges on interpretations of key terms that are not warranted, and it is based on almost total ignorance of the purity code of ancient Judaism.
